With a simple wood exposed table, softened ever so slightly with a draping of silk chiffon, to the beautiful berry toned florals, our autumn inspired shoot was truly a dream. The inspiration for this shoot grew as we envisioned the soft, organic elements and what it means to curate a beautiful wedding day. By carefully creating the perfect team of vendors, we were all able to bring this gorgeous concept to life. Our evening wrapped up with a beautiful bridal session designed by Suzy at the Denver Photo Collective. I’m so happy for my sweet friends and neighbors, Ashley and Jake. Celebrating their love story is something I’ll truly cherish as these two have been together since high school! While they are planning their wedding, we couldn’t help but to slip away for a few engagement pictures. Rocky Mountain National Park was the perfect location for a bit of exploring and countless laughs. Ashley and Jake, I had so much fun with you two and wish you many years of happiness together.

“Life is captured by small, beautiful moments. Katherine truly understands the meaning of this and captivatingly expresses this in every photo. She chose the alluring Rocky Mountain National Park for our location. With the most gorgeous sunset and lush green mountains, this location creates romance in its very air. We had a wonderful time exploring, making one big adventure of it. She understood the tenderness of our love and captured it effortlessly. She doesn’t just take a photo, she creates art. She made us feel so comfortable and welcomed our personalities with open arms. Jake and I are so thankful and honored to have worked with her. Thank you Katherine for creating a stunning and memorable engagement shoot!” – Ashley

In July my sweet friend Shauna hosted a two-day creative workshop at Vinewood Plantation in Newnan, Georgia. I encouraged my friend Melissa to make the trip with me from Colorado and my goodness, the experience was truly wonderful! Shauna and her team came together to foster the idea of collaboration over competition while encouraging us to pursue those creative ambitions stirring within our hearts. Our time at the Thrive Workshop was filled with two gorgeous styled shoots, the sweetest lineup of speakers, and a beautiful Friday night social.

Below you’ll see a few of my favorite moments from our lifestyle session with Carroll and Richard. Not only did they supply florals for this shoot but were also the sweetest to photograph. I can’t wait to share more!

Yesterday evening Ashley and I made the last minute decision to venture out for a bit of Colorado exploring. I’ve been hearing how gorgeous the Paint Mines were and upon arriving, it was truly more than I had imagined. We were surrounded by lush green flora, beautiful wildflowers and the sweetest baby bunnies hopping along the path. Because we had arrived shortly before sunset, these small canyons were streaked in the most gorgeous shades of pinks, oranges, reds and golds. Thankfully we saved just enough time to capture a few quick pictures!

While several months have passed, I am so excited to be sharing my Siloh Floral Artistry workshop experience through these gorgeous photos. In March I had the privilege of attending the first ever workshop by Siloh Floral Artistry and it was more than I could have imagined. The workshop was hosted at the Denver Photo Collective and while the space is already gorgeous, the bright, open room was stocked with the most stunning selection of flowers.

Liz is truly the sweetest and was so incredibly giving with her time and knowledge. We spent a majority of the day building the most gorgeous arrangements, talking business and sharing dreams. I am so grateful for this time with Liz and for the encouragement she instilled to chase all of those creative aspirations stirring within my heart.

Thank you to Winsome & Wright for capturing it all!
